Pneumatic Feed Assist

The Pneumatic Feed Assist (PFA) reduces friction during wire feeding by making the wire float between the inner and outer corner inside the conduit. Suitable for Submerged Arc Welding.

Here’s how it works:
An air-powered motor pushes the wire to the outer corner of the conduit, adjusting the force to maintain mechanical tension. When welding starts, the wire is pulled into the inner-corner, reducing resistance and allowing the air-motor to run freely. This makes the wire float.

Key features:

  • Versatile distance: Feeds wire over distances up to 46+ meters (150 ft).
  • Performance: Reduces drag, wear and arc failures, increasing production.
  • Durability: Extends the lifespan of both conduit and feeder.
  • No signal needed: Requires only shop air to operate.
