Conduit overview
This overview will help you select the appropriate flexible conduit for mild steel. The selection depends on the welding wire used in production and the wire diameters available. Flexible conduits can be purchased by the meter, with additional fixed length options that include connectors attached to the conduit.
Products
Conduit for Mild Steel
Wire Wizard offers two types of flexible conduit with a hard metal spring of elliptical wire for mild steel.
Extra Flexible conduit
The Extra Flexible conduit offers an optimal combination of stiffness and flexibility.
Key features:
- Stiff but flexible: Features a double insulation jacket for optimal stiffness and flexibility.
- Low friction: Reduces contact with the welding wire surface, provides smooth round edges in bends and minimal friction. This makes it easy to feed in new wire.
- Spatter resistant: Features a spatter resistant outer jacket.
Extreme Flex conduit
The Wire Wizard Extreme Flex conduit is specifically designed for robotic welding applications that require high mobility and flexibility. Regular stiff conduits can easily snag on other parts or damage feeder connectors when colliding with the cells of fast-moving robots.
Key features:
- Flexibility: Features only one single spatter-resistant outer jacket instead of a double one, which provides even more flexibility.
- Tight spaces: Bends easily into small spaces, making it ideal for robotic applications in (very) tight welding cells.
- Low friction: Features the same low-friction elliptical wire spring liner as the Extra Flexible conduit.
Both conduits are available in different length and bulk options. Use the drop-down menu below for an overview or contact us directly.
